Richard Doring's information (November 2008): A very tasteful resort with 9 luxurious Villas (15000 and 22000 Baht, Last Minute rate: 5500 - 7500 Baht) and two 3-storied hotel buildings with spacious rooms (most having 2 double beds for up to 4 guests), the upper floors having a wonderful sea view. Swimming pool and a large children's pool, (which may be also used by the children from the nearby resorts, providing that they use the restaurant.), very pleasant atmosphere. The design and layout of the rooms makes this a real 4 star resort catering admirably for children. The walk in prices are up to 50% higher than our special negotiated Internet prices. From the 20.12.2008 to the 10.1.2009 a peak season surcharge of 1500 Baht is applicable. Children (2-12 years) sharing their parents bed, pay no surcharge, only 175 Baht for breakfast. 3 special furnished deluxe rooms are available for handicapped guests. There are 120 new rooms and more villas in the Lagoon Wing (600 to 1000 Baht cheaper than in the beach wing). Water gardens, fitness centre, squash-court, day-care centre and 2 salas for quiet private parties. Richard Doring's information (April 2008): This is an unique, scenic bungalow complex in ethnic Thai style. 29 aircon bungalows each having a total area of 43 square meters, of which, 28 square meters is the sitting room and bedroom. In each case, three bungalows stand in an open courtyard, with water features and streams in the garden. With some competition in the area to be the best in Khao Lak, Khun Lek with the Bhandari, has the advantage, as the architect focussed on a classical Thai style which has been very successful. The beautiful beach is just 100 metres across the road.

Richard Doring's information (April 2008): Blending into the surrounding environment this newly developed resort has a small lake and tall, up to 500 year-old, trees. Next to the beach there are 25 well built single bungalows, some having panoramic views of the sea. There are 6 larger double bungalows in the garden, each having 2 rooms with a connecting door. Friendly staff. Suitable for both individual travellers and families. The new owners try hard to ensure that their guests have an enjoyable vacation. Half room rates in the Green Season!! Tourists who don't like bamboo and other natural materials probably won't like the Green Beach Resort!

Richard Doring's information (January 2008): 36 new bungalows have been built after the Tsunami, spacious, well furnished, complete with aircon, fridge, hot water shower and bath and modern bathroom fittings. Sea views from all terraces. The bungalows (nearest the sea ) and those in the second row are 2200 Baht. In the third and fourth row they range from 1700 Baht to 2000 Baht. The garden still needs some time to grow up. On the beach the popular, inexpensive restaurant is now open again, furnished very nicely and tastefully decorated, operating under the proven management of Khun Fon.
All prices are per room or bungalow for 1 or 2 guests including all taxes and service charge (some incl. American Breakfast), surcharge for an extra bed 200 to 500 Baht, small children in the bed with the parents are free of charge. Surcharge for "Peak Season" around Christmas/NewYear is 200-1000 Baht in some resorts. Transfer from Phuket Airport to the resort is available for 1500 Baht per trip.

Richard Doring's information (July 2007): Ground-level brick houses with several clean fan rooms and 10 new bungalows in a big, extremely well kept palm grove, small swimming pool. The establishment is located on the land side of the H4, 10 min. to the beach. Excellent new restaurant with nice view of the sea, managed by the friendly family Ko Chin.

Richard Doring's information (Februay 2008): Attractive and easy on the eye, there are wooden bungalows equipped with aircon/fans and beautiful stone bungalows with aircon, all with warm water. Good restaurant. All located in a scenic mature garden adorned with palm trees, kids playground. Having direct access from the H4, around 500 mts from the beach, very nice family, the father is a doctor and pursues his practice in the evening on the premises.
